The Maine Hire-A-Vet (MHAV) Campaign is an annual statewide initiative led by the Maine Department of Labor in partnership with state, federal, and nonprofit veteran organizations. Its primary goal is to connect military veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses with meaningful, well-paying careers across Maine.

Maine Department of Labor is preparing for the launch of the 2026 Maine Hire-A-Vet Campaign, a statewide initiative dedicated to connecting veterans, transitioning service members, military spouses, and family members with meaningful employment opportunities throughout Maine.

Since its inception in 2015, the Maine Hire-A-Vet Campaign has connected more than 2,000 employers with over 2,200 veteran hires and military family members, helping strengthen Maine's workforce while supporting those who have served our nation.

The 2026 campaign will bring together employers, resource providers, and job seekers through a series of hiring events held across the state. These events provide veterans and military family members with direct access to employers actively seeking qualified candidates and offer valuable employment, training, and support resources.

Participating employers will have the opportunity to recruit highly skilled veterans and military family members whose experience, leadership, and dedication make them valuable additions to Maine's workforce. Resource providers from federal, state, and community organizations will also be available to assist job seekers with employment, education, training, and supportive services.

Employers interested in hiring veterans, and veterans seeking their next career opportunity, are encouraged to connect with their local CareerCenter. Veterans' employment representatives are available to help businesses and job seekers access workforce resources, training opportunities, and employment services throughout the state.

Join us in making the 2026 Maine Hire-A-Vet Campaign another successful year of connecting Maine veterans and military families with rewarding careers.
