The Maine Reentry Network exists to liaison between Maine's communities and those who have been separated from them for any reason, most commonly incarceration or substance use disorder. We believe that reconciliation and reintegration of all living within Maine's borders into full community membership inevitably leads to reduced relapse and recidivism, collective rededication to one another and our shared values, and ultimately a more vibrant and prosperous Maine.

What to expect
The best way to reach out to MERN is by email. If you are incarcerated in a Maine prison, we just need your Caseworker’s name, and we can reach out to set up a zoom meeting with you! From there we arrange a meeting with 1 or more of our team members. We ask questions to get to know you and what matters to you. From there we work with you to identify the most appropriate community resources and people to connect you with, all while providing peer support and guidance throughout the entire process. We have over one thousand resource partners statewide and if we don’t know who can assist with your exact wishes, we know the folks who can get us there. Relationships are key to the entire process and whether you are incarcerated or not, we can help you build meaningful relationships with resource representatives who we trust and are accountable to you.
